I look for the words of the guaguanco " Cuba Linda " of the group " Grupo folklorico y Experimental Nuevayorkino ". If somebody has it, could he send them to me by email. It would make me a big service.
Thanks.
Laurent

Hi Laurent,
my friend Daniel Sanchez has sent some words from the song "Cuba Linda". It's not the full text and may be is not exactly the right one but it may be useful for you anyway...

Cuba Linda, de mi vida, Cuba linda siempre te recordare.
Yo quisiéra verte ahora, como la primera vez.

Cuba linda de mi vida, Cuba linda siempre te recordare. (one more time).

Entra coro:
Te recordaremos
Por las cosas lindas que tu tienes

Coro y pregón:
Bailaremo y gozaremo,
en belen yo cantaré,
en jesu maria yo me crie,
yo soy de barrio e calle hueso,
en cuyano me crie,
yo me voy, me voy a guaracha,
estas son las cosas buenas,
chocolate me va a tocar ahora.....

....solo de trompeta, mi piano le va a tocar a hora, solo de pf, solo de flauta, solo de timbal mambo y coro, salida.

Bye

Many many thanks for all for all this generosity! It is going to help me a lot. I wanted to make it work to my pupils.

It's not a printed version.... but may help you decipher any loose ends:
Chihuahua Martinez (he only had one double cd - a rerelease of course), has much clearer singing going on the song than the one you mentioned.
A great album to have anyways.
cheers,
ben

oops... my apology for speaking from my ass (although I still stand by my recommedation of Chihuahua's "Descarga Cubana").
Actually what I had in mind.... and this time I confirmed it... was Rolando Laserie singing it. Being a vocalist, the recording really lets him dominate the foreground, and the words are easy to transcribe.
It has a lot of the words from the beginning of the conjunto folclorico version that are missing above.....
but unfortunately its missing whatever comes after the above....
i'll send you my email to whatever address I find on your site....if you ever get a "complete" version of the words, I'd love to have it... cheers :)
