I remember seeing a beautiful painting depicting a rumba that somebody posted on here (well, actually on the old forum) long ago, but there was no further information about the artist, or the painting. But today, thanks to a rumbero friend (and soon-to-be-teacher, once I move to his town in a few weeks), I now have that information. The artist is Susan Matthews, and here is her website. Enjoy!

Lately I've been looking for something to liven up the walls in this shack and lo and behold here's the link you posted. I'm going to look into this with intention. I hope I can afford it, not that that's stopped me before!

I know this woman, she has been in one of my classes.
Nice woman, I didn't know she was a painter.
She lives in Berkeley I think. She has a video of her playing bongos on youtube,
maybe others too.
