I am coming to Miami(from uk) for xmas and would love to meet up with other players.last time I was in Miami I was shocked how little latin music there was.I am interested in anything Afrocuban.I will be with my 89 year old mother in law in Key biscayne so will be needing an outlet for some wildness!
you can check me out on www.vincentsalzfaas.info .

Connect with WDNA radio station in Miami they know whats going on as far as the live music...
the bands that are working there are

Andy Harlow Y La Tradicion
Conjunto Impacto
LLanzallamas
Oriente
Spam All Stars
Los Sobrinos del Juez
Quinta Avenida
Luis Enrique(sometimes)
Sonido Cha
Kike Sanchez
Silvano Monosterios
Ed Calle
Bobby Ramirez-Pan con Bistec LJ band
Bobby Rodriguez Big Band -Ft. Lauderdale
Edwin Bonilla
Miguel Cruz and Tropical Dreams
Pepi Aparicio and SAOCO
Nestor Torres

and others....

these are the bands Im familiar with that are there playing today...don't expect to hear any Rumba.(maybe on 10th and Ocean like we used to do)..I had a lot to do with throwing them down and since i left it doesnt happen like it used to...there was a place called Rumba on 6 but that just recently closed, and then there is Hoy y Ayer(bar) in Pequena Habana with Cuban groups....and occasional breakout rumba..
