Since you intend to sell these in volume for profit you should be responsible for uploading clips and more information - not just giving your address and asking people to send you $20.

The moderator has asked you to upload some video clips to ascertain whether or not you are a competent teacher and if the video is valid and you have not done that. I think the thread should be removed until we see clips and references.

Hello My friend.
Mr Lamy who I respect, wanted a copy to review on his blog. If I get a chance I may send him a copy. I have described the DVD to the best of my ability. This is to help the beginner only. As I said I will put some video on u-Tube when time permits. Right now I don't have the time to transfer some of the dvd over. Is everything you sell is on u-tube? I have been selling this and other Beginner DVD's for years on e-bay. It is funny to me that other people can promote their products here and no one wants to delete their post. This post was intended to help the beginner. I think most people here at Congaplace are already accomplished. If you knew me or anything about me you would know I am one of the most responsible people you will ever meet. Do you need some help playing the Congas or Bongos? Let me know I would be willing to help you.
Thank you

With respect Mike, this forum consists of rank beginners to the seasoned pro with all the flavours in between.

Youtube would do wonders for the marketing of your product, not only on this forum but also the general hits you will get from youtube itself.

eg I have today purchased a 1hour download of Brazilian Atabaque rhythms adapted for Conga purely by stumbling on it on youtube. Review to follow....

Once you have done it a few times, loading a video on youtube should not take you any longer than posting an auction ebay.

In case you want advise how to rip a dvd to wmv or avi ready for youtube upload then let me know.

ps I have indeed purchased your VHS a few years ago.

Cheers

Alafia Abures!
I hope that you are all well!

As for what this individual "Mike Gallichio" has posted on youtube, here is a link I've found with him demonstrating his skills on bongo. As for helping the beginner, well you all be the judge, possibly this is why he is reluctant to post anything of his recent skill level. Either way, brother Gallichio you should not take offense for being asked to share a sample of what it is you are selling, it's considered courteous to do so, as well as good business.

Many blessings!

Gentlemen,

If you go to the home page at CongaPlace on the right hand side you would have found the bongo video and other short videos under my name Mike Gallichio. It has been on that list for a while. The bongo video was a free form short bongo solo. This video did not have anything to do with helping a beginner and I never said it did.

Derbeno, Thank you for the info on marketing on u-tube. I will take it into consideration. Thank you

onile, Your statement about me being reluctant to post and talking about my skill level is really a bit silly. Can you really cram everything you know in a short video? I am not taking offense to offering a sample of the DVDs I sell and I will also take that into consideration.
Can I ask you for a link of your bongo or conga playing? I would love to see and hear it. I am not to old, I can learn a thing or two. I hope you enjoyed mine. It appears some people have if you read the comments.

Thanks, Now I have to tune my Volcano Percussion congas for the very first time and give them a try.
Stay Happy!

Alafia Gallichio!
Thank you for your response to my post. You make a good point; "Can you really cram everything you know in a short video?" The answer obviously is "no"!
I was merely reading the previous posts on this thread and it appeared as though you wanted members to buy your video without a sample, either way no harm no foul.

As for me posting a sample of my skills, I would love to. Let me work on it and I'll be sure to post it once it's ready! I do this for no other reason than to have fun with it (posting a video sampling of my playing skills).

Many blessings!

I ask me why you tell me to buy your DVD because you understood that I wanted to review it for my blog. And Why to answer me in capital letter. On internet, to write in capital letters means shouting...

It was more simpler to answer to me no. I do not pay what I speak on my blog.

Others very big percussionists trust me like Mickael Spiro, Gilson De Assis, Matthias Philipzen, Arturo Rodriguez and many others... Some producers like Boogalu, Mel Bay etc trust me too.

I do not miss material. You can keep your DVD.

ZunZun, chaworo
I understood you wanted it for your blog. I did not want you to pay for it. I put that information for others to read. Not intended as an answer just for you. I copied and pasted the information from my e-bay add just so I would not have to re-type it. It is in capitol letters to stand out for advertising, not to yell. I have no reason to yell. It is great that you do not pay to speak on your blog. It is great that all the other people great percussionist trust you. I was going to ask you for your address. I will keep my DVD if that is how you feel about it. I still respect you, Good luck with your blog.
Thank you
