great clip jc ! always great to see mongo :D Gave a list of some ofthe best congueros to a few students the other day for them to check out and listen to ! One of then has come back and asked why mongo tilts his drum the " wrong " way ? An interesting question but one i couldnt answer , i could only say that mongo never did anything wrong .He did it the mongo way 8)

Well i can tell you that the way Mongo did play cost him in the long run...hip replacement from lifting the drum to one side of his body, sitting low in his chair, and playing from his shoulders...he also had nerve damage in his hands and had his nerves deadened, in both hands... yes it was Mongo's Way..."JC" Johnny Conga
