Ann Reynold's Cuban Jazz CD
Posted: Fri Oct 11, 2013 8:15 pmIn my study of Cuban music, I've been lucky enough to study with Ann Reynolds, from Seattle.
Ann, was gracious enough to come to Chicago last summer, to work with us Chicago based students, in the week long Contemporary Music Project's "Chicago Latin Jazz Workshop." I was also very happy to spend a week this summer with Ann "en La Habana." Ann knows Cuban music!
Ann is now in the process of putting together a CD of her original Cuban style compositions. It appears that Congaplace member, Ernesto Pediangco is also a part of this project.
Anyway, Ann has a Kickstarter Project posted, to help with recording & production costs of her CD. Her Kickstarter Project has only 5 days to go, and she still needs to raise $1600 to reach her goal. She will receive nothing from her Kickstarter Project, if her goal is not reached. So, if you can, please consider helping her reach her goal. There are gifts to choose for your pledge, but any amount helps. A $25 pledge will get you a download of the finished CD. The music is sure to be a pleasure... I can't wait to hear the final tracks!
