Hi,
I'm new in the Forum and I would like to ask, who has tested the new LP bata stand ? I have already order one, but I haven't gotten yet. I wonder if the stand fit to whatever bata set.
Let's see !!

greetings

Hi Jorge,

The set of Bata doesn't have any brand and I don't remember the name of the fabric (it is a well known percussion fabric in cuba)!. I bought them in Cuba 6 years ago, through my friends Pancho Terry (known shekere player and teacher in ENA). His the father of Yosvanny Terry (sax) who plays actually in the scene in NY (Palmieri, LP,...).

My drums are not bata de fundamento, they have tuning mechanic but they sound quite good.

I hope these fit well with the stand that I have already order.
Let's see !

regards Conuno

Your batá is SONOC from Cuba. Very nice drums! Keep me updated on how they fit the LP batá stand.

All the best,

Hi people,

Finally last weekend I got the Bata Stand from LP. It works pretty well as far as I tried it. It is quite stable.
However I must test it playing live ! Let's see.

The important thing is that my bata set are not from LP, even though they fix very well. I'm satisfied !

Regards.

Conuno

A Bata made in Cuba for sell would be pretty good for the learning experience(of course they could not sell a Bata of fundamento).
