This is not something which can be explained over the internet, best to seek an experienced person to develop your skill and tuning in accordance to bata playing.

I know the pitch they are to be at by ear, I am not familiar with the actual 'note' or 'keyed pitch' they are to be at.

Perhaps others hear could assist in this matter?

If they can, you could get yourself an electronic tuner and tune your drums to the tuner.

I however do it by ear in accordance to my tuition learnt.

well, it's true, some may know exact tones and notes on how to tune bata, but if i were you i would take my favorite bata recording, and try to replicate the tuning onto your own set. While you won't be exact, once you can distinguish the different drums, and heads you may be able to come up with some cohesive tuning. This of course is easier said than done.
