Sampled Bata and Dunun - How to set up

Hi
I have some problems with bata and dunun instrument samples - I'm not talking about loops here - as how to set them up for ergonomical playing on the keyboard.
I've designed a system for congas, bongos et al where I play with left/right hands - having closed/muted sounds on black keys and open/slap sounds on white keys. This really works for me:) BUT!
Adding bata and dunun from a secondhand sample CD without documentation I really have problems setting them up. The samples themselves in this case don't disclosure what sound it is and they just come one after the other spread out on the keyboard.
Question 1:
Is the chacha side of bata always tuned to the lower side of the next smaller drum?
Question 2:
What are the functional sounds of dunun drums?
