cuban made bata

Hey Conga Place Members!

A friend of mine has an older set of cuban made bata drums that she's looking to sell. I guess one of the heads is toast and some of the hardware is a bit corroded, so they'll need some minimal restoration work to be playable.

Hopefully I'll get to see them this evening or tomorrow, I'll snap a couple photo's of them when I'm there and post for y'all.

Can anyone give me any idea of cuban bata makers and what I should be looking for in the drums? I guess it'll work better once I get the photo's up, but thought I'd ask. The first question really is what they're worth. There isn't much market for the drums, but I want to be fair to my friend...
