I just got my fire rekindled, me and my kid played the three guerreros from oro seco for his senior recital. I've heard of some fundamento here in Houston, but haven't actually met anybody that can play/teach. If I could find a teacher here I'd be all over it. Hard to learn from folks so many miles away.

Thanks Jorge, Abraham was one of my first teachers, along with Skip "brinquito", we used to have them over when a wealthy colombian would fly them in to play tambors. One time he brought two sets of fundamentos, long john, felix, skip, abraham, pepe and puntilla. Wow! That was something else! If you have any info on any teachers in the area please let me know, San antone is a haul but my sis lives in Austin and I could probably hustle down there for lessons while I'm up visting her. Ayy que hacer sacrificios!

No hay de que!!! Check them out on Facebook, they normally post information when and where they will be playing a tambor.

Hopefully, they come by your neck of the woods sometime soon.

Saludos,

JG

Long John, man I don't here his name mentioned much outside of L.A. - but good to see his name here. He was my first teacher.
