I have two 1978 Gonbops 11' and 11 1/2 and a LP Valje 12 1/2
Im looking to expand for more color. I just develope a very good open slap on the 11' Gonbop, which took me years. My question is a Quinto only used for slapping and solo's or would a set of Bongo's be more versatile. cause im slapping like Poncho now LOL. and those two Tumbadora are moan'in like a women. Im playin with a lot of different crews and style's....the hip hopper like plenty of slaps, i guess it remind them of gunfire...the R&B's like plenty of open notes that is confined to the groove... i prefer to play Mambo,Dazon,ChaChaCha,Rumba....Im still trying to post/write my own sound on Congaplace.com....Its called AFROCUBANLATINPFUNK....stay tuned
