Ha,Ha! Congabebe, your friend is right. Whenever I go visit family in Maryland I swear I can taste the water in the air. God, I love dry air!
Anyway, I agree with your teacher. I don't recommend tape or bandages either, unless to protect an injury. I think the best thing is to toughen the hands and the only way to do this is by time.
This is just my opinion and I could be wrong because, physically, everyone is different. But, believe me, I went through my share of blisters and cuts in the beginning.
