has anybody ever learned conga in one year?

First of all I have to say what an awesome idea, to whoever created this website. Thank you and God bless you "mijo". I'm hungry for information about congas and timbales. My mother is teaching me both, so I can play them in my church(an american church using latin rythms, aint that cool). So far I can tell you guys I,m in the band. I auditioned by playing the only tumbao that I,ve learned so far. This is going to sound silly but what the heck; I FEEL LIKE I'M HOME, WHITH THIS WEBSITE, EVEN BY JUST KNOCKING AT THE DOOR, 'cause I know I'm just starting. once again, thank you, babyconga.
