halo again comunity.

i've seen raul rekow and karl perazo dvd( just another day in the park) a couple month ago, and i have something which i don't understand.
there's a song, its title is yambu. the problem is, first i think they gonna play rumba yambu, but as far as i heard, they play guanganco. another problem is, the clave. they used son-clave. in my knowledge, guaganco should use rumba clave.
i really need an explaination about this term, can anyone explain to me?

hi .i have a copy of the dvd.i t is a yambu that they play.It has el negro on quinto.I seen yambu in cuba that was identical to guaguanco in its melody , just slower and using son clave, with the soloing on quinto cajon .

Yep, the Yambu sometimes has the conga hitting right on the 3 just like Guaguanco, and the clave can be Yambu clave or Son Clave.

thanks guys for the infos, but i stil have some confusion. what i said in the post is based on ed uribe's book. rumba yambu in that book didn't sound like in the video, and they use rumba clave. i really realize about my limitation about all afrocuban music. ed uribe's book is the only source that i have besides some records and some info in internet. i don't have much experience with all afrocuban music. so i really hope some explanation related to this term and any suggested reading or listening. thanks once again.
