Player vs Drummer

Postby JayMacho » Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:57 pm

Hi guys,

I was just reading this dissertation on bata drums that I got off of the esquinarumbera site. There is a statement in it that I thought would be an interesting topic. In a nutshell it states that there are players and there are drummers. The players are the ones that have rhythm and can sound good to the untrained ear but the drummer has technique and style and plays what is supposed to be played.

Any thoughts.....?
