Hi Laurent - question on your excellent video.

Is the first stroke a muff?

M H T O S

And JC ... on the split hand vid - I'm reasonably sure (for the first section anyhow) your hitting between the tip and heel stroke (later there is a flam I think but I haven't really looked yet) - yes?

Hi Burke Yes it is a 'syncopated' movement so the tone(the first way done) is ...on the one "and(tap) "da"...tapping of the tip of the left hand before the "da"....u got it ?... counting for the left hand is
1+2+3+4+.....right hand comes in with slap tone slap

which is on "one" "da" & "three"...gotit?.....Johnny Conga...

Vaya JC, cool vid man.
The comparsa is how I play it, however I use one additional beat/note in it, will see if i can post an example of how I do it. Diggin the break down of el baqueteo with clave de rumba, well done examples.
