It is worth taking a few minutes to learn from a master, especially the first video here. The concept of playing soft, caressing the skin not hitting it, is being lost in our younger generations, and with it the concepts of talking on the drum, call and response, and listening to what everyone else is playing and playing your part of the overall melody of the music. These videos are priceless. I love the first one. Did you see him jump on those congas (and tapping with his foot)? Wow!
