Cheers lads,
when I was browsing the Latin Real Book looking for some nice tunes I found a conga groove for"Cubanity" by Victor Mendoza. It goes like this:

high T S O T S T | T S O T S T

low O O | O O

N.B.: All eights, 4 beats to the bar. Enjoy!!
Has anybody played tunes from that book in ensemble?
Most are pretty difficult, at least for bass, horns and stuff

Sorry, of course it´s "Cubanita".

The head arrangement thing is really awfully difficult if you try as a non-Cuban, non-Congacountry - playing pal.
Any experience of you?

Your rhythm looks like an adaptation of the rumba Iyesa, a rhythm of batas.
