Stuck on Tumbao... - I need some variety...

I've been playing the congas for about a year now and I can't seem to get away from playing the Tumbao rhythm. We play mostly contemporary christian and praise music. I've received many compliments; however, I can't get pass the fact that I keep using the same rhythm for every song whether fast or slow. Does anyone have any suggestions for adding some variety or new ryythms to my playing?

Stuck huh? I can not suggest a better way to learn new rhythms than Kalani's video "Show me the rhythms for congas". It is straight no BS learning. His samba and reggae aren't particularly good, but the other 8 are very user friendly. This is the most used video I've ever owned. His 6/8 is simple and you can swing it for use in 3/4 church style music, I've done it in Christmas shows. I think you can find it in the conga store on this site, if not try http://www.kalanimusic.com.
Also I think Conga man is adding audio files to some of the rhythms in the conga book, keep your ears open.
IMPORTANT NOTE; I am talking about "show me the rhythms for congas" not "all about congas" he has several videos out.
