I just bought a Giovanni Palladium 11 3/4 conga... It seems to have a metallic ringing overtone that I cant tune out? I've never had this problem with any of my congas....does anyone have any fixes or comments on this strange osolation??

Do you have Lp heads on it or other? If thats the case I would put some thick cow skin on them like the type that JCR, Fat Congas or Timba is selling or a thick skin you come across on. I had LPs didnt like the sound of the"Hand Picked" switched the skin and they sounded like a different set of tumbas. Mi Opinion.
