Mics! Boom or Attached to the drum! - Do most congueros prefer boom mics?

Not lame at all, I think you nailed it!

We discussed this in part on this thread, those of us that have and use these mixers do so for that very reason you make in your post. That is to say, we get to determine the mix and then send the signal to the PA, the then adjust the loudness. The benefit to me however, is that I am able to use some 'in-ear monitors' and hear myself without having to bleed for it. :p
