I am about to exchange my Palladiums for 3 new Giovanni Galaxy congas (2 congas, 1 tumba) Ive had the Palladiums for over a years now, and getting new drums as part of a deal through LP distributors here.
I will also be getting these new funky cases, once I have them I will post up some pics.

My 3 Classics never had cases, and they have the battle scars to prove it!

Hi All,

Protection racket do make great cases. Really sturdy and easy on the congas. I have to say that all the battle scars on the congas heve come from when the congas have out of the bags. The bags have a wool on the inside, it really makes a difference. the zipper is super strong. You can also get a conga hat for extra protection. they were originally made for snare drums but fit well on the congas.

I have used other cases, that were plastic or similar material, and found the congas swiming inside the case and getting scractched. in the end I had to make a conga sock. only really worth it if you are touring internationally and taking your drums with you.

Bless ya all

I went cheapo...three rubbermaid 33 gallon garbage cans. The conga rides head down, I stuff a foam mattress pad around the edges and its a form fit with no rattling around..one pad (full size) split for two drums, one twin size for the smallest drum to take up the extra space. There is even a double protrusion from the bottom to "lock" the head into the exact center of the can. The cans ride upright in the back of the pickup truck, and are bottom heavy because the heads are down. It's the only solution I could afford...$50 for all three with the pads. I may get some wheels and axles later...there's room. This may not work for a 30 inch drum..works great for 28 inch if you have the room to haul them around this way. Besause they are rigid, you can carry two at a time by lifting at one handle to shoulder height in each hand. Works great and saves at least one trip back to the truck. You just have to hide your empty "cases" in the rest of the bags so the audience doesn't throw trash in them. :p
