That is totally hilarious brother Diceman!
Yeah! you're right though I just copied the wrong picture the first time and realized I was going to use the male connector in my set up!

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to hold off until someone figures out the sound mixing aspect of it all!

Peace and Happy Holidays to all my drummin' brothers and sisters!

Hi guys, the other option to curb the sound problem is to use a compressor and an EQ. from the mic - small desk - EQ - Compressor - to the sound guy. Yes more stuff to carry around but it should help with the echo of the sound. taking out certain frequencies and them squashing the sound down will help. it will also give you more head room and make the percussion stand out from the other instruments. Giving you your own spot light in the sonic range.

a Technique often used on lead vocals to help bad mic technique and/or make the singer stand out from the band without increasing volume and risk feedback.

keep up the excellent work brothers.

Alafia Abures Mi!
I hope that you are all well and in an abundance of wonderful blessings!

I know that I have been meaning to post some pics of the "internal" mic system that Abure +pablo+ inspired me to do with all of his hard work, so here it is......

What I used was a satelite speaker mount (you can get them on ebay for less $ than what I paid). Here is what they look like:

I also hooked up an Audix D-Vice mic holder to it using a 3/8" bolt which was funky to mount.

Next, I wanted to show how the holes in the mount were just right for the bolts on the drums.
I actually went to the hardware store and purchased some longer bolts to use, but they worked
just fine:

I used the Sennheiser E-604s for the mics

That's it, however as I had previously mentioned, I was not at all satisfied with the sound that I was getting, so I went back to the clip=on's. What a wus!

Many blessings my brothers!
And may you all have a wonderful holiday season!

con mucho respeto!
