Gon Bops recently (this morning) released their new website with a new Alex Acuna Series congas/bongos and a whole host of other additions. Looks like DW is going to make a run with GB into the market.

Gon Bops

The heads on the Acuna are water buffalo.

Look nice, but they look too much like the galaxys. I hate that Ash color, looks ugly in my opinion. I bet they sound good though!

I find them even though they from the ash like galaxies, very unique...
Pedal Cajon? Yes, what's next?

I would like to have opportunitty to hear more samples of instruments, on all the brands sites...

I just got an e-mail from their custumer service,my question was about the Alex Acuña Bongó. They are made in Thailand and the heads are cheap water buffalo type, they could not tell me if the Bongó was conical or cylindrical shape. I guess the Congas also have the Buffalo heads so you have to invest again on 2 good heads. Cheap always cost more.
