Hello everyone,

I stumbled across the Remo Kick Conga on the net (there is an offer at ebay.de). I´ve never seen this kind of drum before, it´s a blend of Conga and Bassdrum (with a bass drum pedal from below). Both heads seem to be sythetic, the upper being a REMO plastic conga head, the lower a Pinstripe Head.

My question: Does anyone play this drum? What does it sound like? Is it useful to spice up your setup? THe idea of an additional kickdrum is not new after all...

Any comments and suggestions are welcome! I´m just curious. BTW, the shape of the drum is a bit awkward, isn´t it? Can´t image a good sound coming out of that ???

Ooops, sorry, I didn´t see there was already a post on that topic, I should browse the site more carefully before posting something.

Anyway, from what I got from KKonga the REMEO kick conga does not precisely sound like a superb hand drum, even if the idea of a small kick drum in your setup is not bad.
Peace & drum
