I see warrior4christ has got the drum in question for sale again on ebay (search vintage conga).

He has refinished the drum, made some repairs, and has it listed a higher starting price $200. He is making a big deal about it maybe being a Vergara.

I noticed on the old photos of the Vergaras that the handle is attached with a squared bracket. The ebay drum's handle has rounded brackets.

So far there are no bids......

You can take this to the bank, is a Casa Cubana. Still a great find on which he got lucky on a "buy it now" for $99 bucks. I have seen and palyed many Vergara in my lifetime. I have two that were Marcelino Valdes and I bought from the widow. Mongo left his Vergaras on my garage here in Miami for over a year. I have also seen and played some Casa Cubana congas and this one is. Apuestaselo al canelo !
