I'm looking for people's opinions on Remo versus Evans skins for my quinto? Whats the difference? I notice alot of people on youtube seem to be using Remo. Why is that? Thanks, GLJ

I cannot help you since I am against plastic skins.. I think they are useless and do not sound good at all. B

glj, What kind of drum do you have? I have a set of Gio's with Remo Nuskyns. The sound is very dry, but they ring like church bells! I hear Remo fiberskyns are the way to go for synthetics. Mule or cow for naturals. G

I just mounted 2.5 mm thick cow skins on my drums and man oh man do they sound nice... Absolutely no ringing, no harmonics, just a crisp sound... You'll never get that with plastic. B

Remo is much better, it is like a real head, The Evans head was like a snare drum head.
All the Best!
