I decided to give this a try since it's fairly cheap with the cowbell and all.

I'll post what I think of it if anyone is interested.

I may go for a Hansenfutz too. I envision having two pedals eventually.

As a part-time pedalist I might chime in. :)

Lisa, that is surely a very good price for the pedal & bracket package.

Personally I own the MEINL Pedal mount which costs around 45-50€ alone.
But it is very sturdy and reliable, plus it can be used on both hard floor and carpet .
I use an old Tama foot pedal I still got from my drumset days.

My second pedal is even cheaper, an LP Gajate bracket from ebay with a no-name pedal that a fellow drummer
once gave to me:

Either LP Jam Block or Cowbell - it all works.

But the set that you have in mind is totally OK I guess. I do not know if the cowbell is really good though.
You might still consider buying used or DIY, as two pedal sets can be a bit on the pricey side. As the other fellows said, it does not have to be expensive...

Good luck

LOL! Mike, you are so witty!

Do you like the sound of the LP Block? I have been curious how they sound.

Lisa,
I love them - both on timbales and on foot pedal. I own the blue one and the lower pitch red one.

Having said that, I should add that they are rather loud, but that depends on how hard you hit them of course.
Tey do sound great - and they´re indestructible!

My 2 blocks

I wanted to post a follow-up to the pedal/cowbell set I got off eBay.

I am quite pleased with the set for the money. It is sturdy and adjustable in many ways. I think it will accommodate a jam block, etc with ease. The beater is reversible too.

The cowbell says Dadi on it, so I assume they are the manufacturer of the set. It even comes with a tuning key attached to make adjustments. Very well thought out indeed! :)

Here's the link again: http://cgi.ebay.com/PRO-Dual-Chain-DRUM ... 1|294%3A50

It came quick and safe. The only thing lacking, is actual instructions. But, it's fairly obvious what does what.

Dadi is a manufacturer that has emulated some of the LP company´s product such as blast blocks and also cowbell at an affordable price. These products are OK.
Well, anyway, this set is more than OK for this purpose! Well done, good buy. :)
