Strange... I like the concept, though I'm not sure how well it was executed. that rope doesn't look like it will hold up for very long. :?

looks like they took an aspire and made it into a Brazilian Atabaque for capoiera. Do a google image search for "atabaque" and you'll see similar rope tuned drums
