Thank you for the compliments.

Hear is three photos of the finished Slingerland Conga Restoration Project. They came out very nice. The hardware cleaned up very nicely. One tip I have learned from a friend. If you want to clean up the chrome. Use a 0000 grade steel wool. It will remove pitting and clean it really nice. Then use a good car wax.

Enjoy the Photos.

Everything looks great, fantastic restoration, not a fan of the glittery like effect though...
One thing though, is it just me or do the tension lugs look weak? The rest of the hardware looks tough and beefy, but those lugs look a little thin for the job?
Either way, a very fine job in restoration.

SIMPLY AWESOME!!!

I'VE PLAY'D MY FRIENDS DRUMS, WHICH ARE THE SAME MODELS, AND THEY SOUND WONDERFUL. THEY ARE, AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, ONLY SECOND TO THE LP FIBERGLASS GALAXY'S. THE HARDWARE IS SOMETHING THAT I DISLIKE, FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. BUT, I DO LOVE THE SHELLS, AS WELL AS THE WORK QUALITY THAT YOU HAVE DONE ON THEM.

GREAT JOB BRO!

I am sure on stage with all the color lights , they look awsome....I am with Abakua on the hardware, drum set tension rods I don't think would cut it. One of the treads will give, the rod or the nut. Besides that very nice job.

I am a also fan of traditional hardware but, this Slingerland hardware is actually very heavy duty. It looks like drum set rods but a drum key will not work on them. The rods are much larger and heavy duty. Actually the tuning system works very well and tunes up nice. Thank you all for the complements.

The hardware is very unique indeed,
not your normal run of the mill stuff.
I like it.

Now you need a set of those Slingerland bongos I see for sale on eBay all the time
to go with the congas.

Beautiful drums Gallichio!

I don't mind the different hardware. As long as it works (and sounds like it does), I think it's great to see something different!

Congrats on your tubs and hope they sound as good as they look....I've never played Slingerlands :?
