Never heard such heresy!!! :D :D . Well, Firebrand, I think when the wood and skin combo tubs I've got start getting to the end of their road, or my 67 year old back can't handle the shlep anymore, I may be migrating over to plastic, too.

Hello!

Nice feeling when somebody states opinion close to the one you have - Firebrand I have Bobby Allendes too and like you said, when it comes to brightness, sharpness and being present as a conguero on a stage filled with electric guitar, bass and you name what else speakers - fiberglass is a way to your presence as well.
I like to read about the differences but don't like the 'opinion fights' - every opinion to its own...
Anyway, since the word is about almas, I have Meinl Woodcrafts and would anyone know/suggest/show where or how can I get/make almas for my drums? I like the looks of almas and if it helps my congas to get old with me...
Thank you for any kind of advice!
