Congratulations. I have the Pearl Primero Pro congas which are pretty much the same drums except that they're only 28" instead of 30" and they don't have handles. They're great sounding drums and they'll last you a long time. Enjoy.

Congratulations debesa on your new drums they look great. In regards to the skins, are they thin or thick? Same on both or different?

Skin is water buffalo.. mmm... looking at the rebound on the rim, something like 2mm on both conga and tumba!!

Aren't all the Elite coming with the same skin?

I don't own a set of Elites but typically you want to have a thinner skin on the conga and a thicker on the tumba, the thinner skins allow for easier and louder slap tones and thicker for deeper tones. regardless I have no doubt that your drums sound just as they should, goooooood :D

I checked again and by the look of it yes, the tumba skin is slightly thicker... (I've no caliper here to be more precise) :)
