Which ones? I have three different types of mule skin,
the latest are L&H skins that are pretty good for the
LP and Valje, not too thin, not too thick, with clear
slaps and round tones.
But I do like El Greco´s mule skins just as much.
And the JCR mule on the Gio quinto is still different.

I've got a JCR mule on my gon bops, it's very dry but when cranked up realy sounds awesome, not too hot on the mid range tuning, though that could also be the fault of the drum itself. I'm looking for a new skin for one of my matt smith drums and those LH skins look really nice!

Yep, those JCR mule skins are really the bomb when cranked up high.

Unfortunately I do not know about those famous Matt Smith congas,
you lucky owner  , and it is maybe just a hunch, but
perhaps an excellent cow or steer skin might fit to them too.
Michael at L&H has got those too, but other top dealers
as well of course.
