Saw these on ebay as well.

Anybody know if these are worth the amount they are asking for?

I personally wouldn't recommend paying that much unless you really want a set of Sol drums. They are basically asking 800 for each conga and 400 for the bongo. Sol drums are excellent drums, but these drums are used and I don't think should go for basically new drum prices. Also Sol is out of business which makes it hard to get replacement parts if needed. That's another reason I don't think they should command new prices. For new prices, you should also get the benefits of new drums, which usually means service and that new drum smell. 8) But if it is Sol drums you are really after, then it's not actually that bad a price, but not a great price either. Sols are fairly rare with a set like this coming up around twice a year from what I've seen.

Ha, I was resisting posting a link to this, but if anyone is gonna get them I hope it's someone on this forum. I can't get there financially right now. But I would love a set of $ols like this.

I'd say 400-500 per drum max for those. nice drums for sure, but not very collectable, Akbar also made some mahogany sols that I'd love to check out.

They belong to my friend Steve here in Miami. One thing I can say is that they are in new condition and they sound great, I played them. The bongos sound incredible.

I agree with bnb, only if you're dead set on the hard wood sols.
The Mahogany version on the other hand are amazing and somewhat rare. I really love mine.
