Acuna Gon Bops SE for sale, Conga, Tumba

Selling my Gon Bop Acunas, will close auction early for interested conga place member, woke up this morning to find a tree laying on the playhose so I've got to get some tree work done, in addition my repair job from Matt should be done soon, so these babies gotta go!

Are these things solid stave or the 2-ply ash? I can't find a lot about them online.

2 ply ash. To be honest, I had a set of the solid stave ca series ( requinto, conga , tumba) and did not like the sound, i even changed the heads and put some nice bill confer skins on, too dry sounding. These are much warmer and have a fuller sound with more tone, even with the plastic heads. I was also told that the acuna series followed more of the traditional go bops shape with the lower belly.
