Hello,

I have Gon Bops Califonia Congas model ICL 4125 & ITL 4125 both black color.
These any good and someone have any information ?

vot500 congratulations you have a very desirable set of vintage Bops. It would be awesome if you could post some pictures of them.

Welcome Vott500----You have the Deluxe Series Congas. They should have two layers of fiberglass over either Oak or Mahogany shells. If they are black in color they are probably Mahogany because for some time the Oak Series only came in Natural color. If there is no fiberglass over the finish they are high gloss acrylic lacquer.
Hard to tell without pictures.

The black set King Konga posted is certainly oak.

I agree, Kings pic is of Oak later models with a fox tail finish. The old 4125 didn't have bands, but did have the same hardware package. Again hard to tell without pic's.
