Nice job on that conga. What was the name of the epoxy that you use and how is this applied.I have the epoxy finished Gon Bop's oak's and one of them has some scratch' s that i would like to refinish by a little sanding.

yes, you definitely need to make the surface rougher before you start epoxying it.
I used: http://www.westsystem.com/ss/epoxy-resins-and-hardeners
This company has a good reputation in the shipbuilding business. http://www.westsystem.com/ss/

Good luck!

Wow, nice work !!!

Do you make that with brush or spray gun ?

Do you want to varnish inside, to keep the humidity inside the wood ?

I have never try Reich Congas, but it seems to be good !!!!

Merci! :)
I applied both epoxy and the lacquer with a foam roller.
No varnish inside intended, I am anxious to keep the
original Reiche sound here, and the mahogany is so massive
that it will last with the outside protection only I would guess.
Peace & drum
