Does anyone own any the the MaterSeries Ash congas by Rhythm Traders. Seems like a good price for a set of production congas. I will be traveling to Portland in several weeks and will be trying them out but I was interested if anyone has some experience, maybe long term experience. Also without giving them a good look over I do not know if they would be able to handle a thick steer or even mule. The hardward seems reasonable. I suspect they are not made in America but they are made of ash. Not sure if the ash is a veneer with another wood for structure. I noticed that there is only 2 bolts per lug so tough skins may be an issue.

Seem like a great knock around set!
