Fiberglass congas

Postby eskrimaaddiction » Sun Jun 05, 2011 7:32 am

Hey guys, met a guy who was asking about a nice set of fiberglass congas.

This guy's a lawyer and said that he wants a nice set. Of course I told him to buy me some . I wish I could have gotten him on the matt smith train but for some reason he's got it in his mind about fibergalss .

Did not know what kind of fiberglass congas you would recommend for him. I was just going to tell him to get whatever LP/meinl's top of the line was.

I've only had wood congas(just a what I like)

Thanks ya'll

Alafia Abure eskrimaaddiction!
I hope that you are well and abundantly blessed!

As for your friend, and his request for fiberglass congas, I currently am selling my set of 4 LP Patato Model congas. They consist of 2 - 12.5" Tumbadoras, 1 - 11.75" conga, and 1 - 11" quinto. They are Red in color and are in extremely great condition. The skins are cowhide, not the buffalo that comes with them from the factory. Here is a pic of the 3 that were mainly used on gigs, the quinto I normally left at home.

I'm asking $1,000 + shipping for the set of four, along with four LP bags, 3 sets of conga feet (to lift them up from the floor about two inches).
Let me know if your friend is interested, as fiberglass congas go......the older versions of LP seem to be the best, durable and great sound, especially with these types of skins.....

Stay well!

Onile!

Brother Onile, that is a nice set and a tremendous value.
I wish I was in your neck of the woods and could pick them up from you.
I hate to ship congas. You are in the Pheonix area?

Alafia Brother Congamyk!
I hope that you are well!

Yes, I'm in Phoenix, and it's gettin DAMN hot out here!
Well, when you do the math, they come out to $250 per drum. I really hate to let them go, but my babygirl is turning 12 in August and I want to get her an electric violin. She's been after a purple one, and since she's been doing so well........what's a couple of congas out the door
