Greetings Onile,
WHat heads did you use when you replaced the originals? Once I get some actual playing time under my belt, I'm thinking about a set of mule hides from Issac for my Meinl Pros.

Alafia Abure Mangorockfish!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings!

Issac has some great skins for sure, I just havent' got around to ordering any as of yet. I had actually ordered several skins from Moperc (in Cananda), which I found to be incredible as well. I have a conga playing buddy out here and he has purchased from Issac, and let me say that those skins are slammin' (really great sounding)! I soaked a skin last night in fact, woke up this morning, had my coffee and started to mount it on my other drum, this was around 7:00 this morning, finished by 7:30. I placed the drum in my garage to let it dry out. I'll leave it in there for a couple of days (it's dry and arrid in there, so its the perfect place to dry it naturally). I'll post a pic of it once it's dry!

Great idea though, get in touch with Issac, he'll give you a great deal and your drums will absolutely sound incredible.

Many blessings my brother!
Onile!

here are the skins I mounted from Moperc onto my Patato's

Good morning Onile,
I must ask or demand a favor from you my brother. Do not ever post picture of those red Patatos again where I can see them. Just kidding. Those babies make my mouth water. That is exactly the setup and COLOR I want. Man those are beautiful. As I am writing this, I am thinking of a way to acquire a set of the LP Originals in the beautiful RED.
You are a lucky man my friend.
Play them in good health and enjoy.

Onile, also do not ever again post a pic of those Fat Congas you have....

Seroiusly, your new tumba, super tumbas from gon bop: do you use this as a 3-drum setup? (i.e. the tumba serves as a conga in a 'traditional' setup). Seems to be a move toward the larger drums. thanks!

p.s. noticed on the Anga pics that two LP Matadors were in his setup...makes me happy 'cause thats what I have. gracias, +pablo+

¡Espero que todo este bien contigo mi pana!

Yes, actually I absolutely love the 'bottom', so I tune the Supertumbas accordingly, and then the Tumbadora as a conga! It just gives me more real estate to work with when playing also!

Suave!

Yo! CQ! Mi Macho!

You were playing those puppies like they were going out of style!

We'll have to see about getting together again soon and playing more rhythms!

:D hey guys... Now i cay say - mirracles can happen. In very short period of time three new members ( hi Jure,hi Goran) from little part of mediteranian earth in circle less than 200 miles joined in for the same reason - buying & playing congas. Like Goran said - its not common here around to play percussion - we are more like harmonica nation, he,he.
OK, enough loosing time - i also need help, or better suggestion before i make stupid step ahead (like i ussually do :p)
i never played congas - decision to buy them was not surprising (more like: OK, another instrument in the assortiment.), but choice i made is that what bothers me.... Standard set of LP Aspire Wood 10˝ pinto & 11˝conga on single stand happens.... When i allready bring them home, i began to think very likely as Goran. So, now i had oportunity to trade them ( plus another pile of money) for Remo Sanchez. What do you think about that model?
And (just for making me jellous) Goran, ow much do you paid for whole set of Palladium?
Thanks - you make my day easier. Bay

Hey Pegula, I have not heard much about the Remo Poncho Sanchez congas which is not good. If people were playing them and really liking them it would be posted here. What I have heard has not been overwhelmingly positive so if it was me I would invest my money in LP or Pearl. Work on your technique and you can make any drum sound good

Thanks Jongo - just as i thought.... I tried to find something about them on the net, but everywhere, where those models were mentioned, something was ˝foggy˝. I will do as you told - first knowledge, technique, and then better congas. LP, of course, he,he. Thanks again, bye.

Hi guys, nice to see you here Image :)

I think I've seen a couple of Croatian and/or Slovenian guys on the Italian version of the forum too..
P.S. it might be much less than 200 miles if you are somewhere near the border. I know that someone from Kopar is here, that would be.... about 60km? :;):

Pegula: Palladiums were about 20.300kn in Zagreb (credit, it would be probably less for cash) that would be about 2775 E

Onile: I asked the LP about head sizes. Here is the explanation:

The sizes with the Palladium series are a hybrid. To eliminate
confusion
with replacement parts (heads rims) we chose to call the sizes based
upon
the corresponding rim & heads that fit the various sizes rather then
the
drum opening.

Example the LP860Z the opening at the top of the drum measures smaller
then
11" but the drum takes the rim & head from an 11" Quinto so we call it
an
11". This continues with the other sizes as well. The hang tag that
came
with the drum is not correct.
