Sweet!
Remo's website does have a user forum where they answered in the affirmative for another brand of drums with traditional rims.
Traditional rims do grab the hoop in a different way than comfort curve rims so you're smart to be cautious but call or e-mail them and I'll bet they say yes.
The heads definitely come in appropriate sizes for your drums but they have some different hoop channel diameters that probably go with different rims.

I just noticed your seller had all the hooks installed backwards!

Just put some LP handpicks on my NJ lp's and they sound great. Little oily at first but it goes away.

i will be getting them sometime next week, and will do a complete breakdown and assesment on what i got myself into..got a lot of different suggestions on the heads and even though i like the PR remos there is no garantee that they will fit and at 49$ a high cost to find out. theirs another post where they got 3 remos and it only fit on two of the drums...

No threadjacking with PR Remos, please
Seriously, when it comes to sound and feel,
I would alway recommend natural skins over synthetics
as long as you do not have to struggle with humid climate.

No, Sir, putting on synthetics on those vintage tubs would
be like drinking a nice old wine out of plastic cups somehow.
Or putting ketchup into ratatouille.
Pardon my gastronomic digressions

To be honest, my LP set that is pictured above sound
awesome with those L&H mule skins, my Valje making a great #2
with crystal clear but mellow open tones! :D
And the LP quinto just rocks, ruling with a true rumba sound!
Peace & drum

This synthetic versus natural (rawhides) heads IMHO is matter of taste and preference. More than often I see the big names in latin percussion including some legends using the synthetic heads and they sound awesome. As a matter of fact I have seen them even using the stock water buffalo heads that so many people seem to dislike and still sound awesome. What that tells me is that the player is the one that ultimately makes the drum sound real good not the other way around. No doubt professional grade equipment is a must but a player that knows his stuff, priceless.

Nothing beats the feel and sound of natural skins.
I never settle for anything less and I suspect Mike will not either.
If anyone has a developed, discerning and discriminating taste regarding fine skins
it's our man in Germany.

And for rumba, the plastic just doesn't fit in, no matter who you are.

I am pretty sure big time rumberos all over the place including Cuba have used synthetic heads with great results and nobody have missed a beat because of it.

Just in case the link does not work go to congahead website under Jimmy Delgado and Friends.
Check out the (3) heavies on tumbadoras, bongos and timbales. See the drums and heads they
are using and the sound they get. They do not miss a beat.

No doubt synthetic cuts it for live gigs, please remember that big time endorsers of a product also get their stuff free or discounted. A lot of cats have different "personal" preferences though.

That was some great playing, but it was not a rumba.

To me is not matter whether they get their stuff free or not. My point is that when they play synthetic heads they sound good too. I have seen
many of the top cats in latin percussion at live events playing this rental equipment what many consider sub par drums and heads on this forum
and they just make them drums sound awesome. Seen it and heard it with my own eyes and ears. I do not remember when was the last time I saw
the top cats playing on tour boutique drums with mule heads. Normally they play on LP and sometimes Matador (I have seen that too) with stock heads
or synthetics.

<<A lot of cats have different "personal" preferences though.>>
I made this point on my first post is matter of taste and preference. IMHO synthetic heads are as good as any natural head. I just can not make an absolute statement than one is better than the other. I have synthetic, water buffalo, mule and cow rawhide on my drums and they all sound good to me. At the end of the day is the Indian what makes the bow and arrow really good. Just keeping it real and balance that's all.

True, what I really meant though was a lot of cats play LP with remo or handpicked heads because of endorsement contracts, at home they may be hapy beating on some SOS or RITMOS or old vergaras or what have you. True to point though, if you can make a box sound good, hell, any plastic water buffalo or mule head will do!
