If you are going to cut them off do it at the bottom. Once you cut the drum off at the
top I do not think you are going to find standard hardware that fits the drum unless
you get it custom made. Looking at the pictures, kind of look like you already have
shaved-off from the top.

No, have'nt cut anything yet, the problem is that they are both 11" at the top and I need to make the red one a tumba.
I know that I can tune it down for that but I don't like how it sounds.
I would love ti if I could fin a Matador tumba shell or a used one.

Just tune one of them lower that's all. The great Candido Camero
uses (3) congas of the same size each tuned differently.
