This set was sold about three years ago in an independent web site that deals with vintage musical instruments, the asking price was $3,000 yikes!! :?: :cry: I don’t know whether or not they got full asking price but I have no doubt that they were sold for a pretty penny.

Mike those are indeed some nice Tubs, any idea of the make? :?:

No idea, sorry, looks like "Almendra" wood aka Tropical Almond to me (there was a thread on that wood type a while ago)
and it just says that the congas are made from a single piece of wood.

Steve tell us about that stage i may want o build on for myslef. Beautiful work on the tubs bro i have work to do before i get to tht level of refinishing that is incredible work.

wow these drums are all incredible.
BNB amazing photo.
I can almost hear that bata and shekere playing in the soft breeze and see the shadow silhouette of a lovely dancer in the sunlight.

VinnieL and salseroboricua71- those drums are awsome.
I'm an LP guy too and you've inspired me to get my camera out!
I'll post some pics of my new drums soon.
