My 11.5 tumba is DEFINITELY a tumba, the sound is warmer and lower than any LP tumba I've ever owned. And just the same, the quinto is not what you'd expect out of a 9.75 drum, very warm with no ringy overtones like you'll find from a LP requinto of the same size.
I found a 13.5" super tumba that I will be picking up today or tomorrow, can't wait to finish off the set!

I really like what you did with that quinto on the right. I saw when you posted the project.
I could go for that look if I ever got my hands on some.
I think I would experiment with some custom bands. The original ones are Ok but those wood ones don't look good to me no matter how I look at them.
