Well, i've bought a tumba+ conga meinl exclusive but i think that the skin is thin. Is a bad thing to play?

Both of the skins are thin (conga + tumba).
What can i do if i want to play with the the conag+tumba + quinto?
Do i have to change the skin of the tumba? the problem is that i've not a lot of mooney and i've never change a skin
