I have just aquired 4 conga drums that are such beautiful instruments. I was hoping someone could identify them by sight. I was told they are vintage GonBops?
I can email the photos to those in the know!
Peace

Dave

Got this reply also:
Thanks a lot for the picture, Dave!

A realy nice set of drums you have there, however I doubt they are Gon-Bops, even if they look similar.

Saw a Puerto-Rican conguero a few years ago (Angel "cachete" Maldonado) that had similar drums, but they were made in Venezuela... Could be that yours are simply made in Cuba as well... anyway that set is just so cool!

Enjoy!

Danny.
