That may not be a coincidence.
Large companies subcontract out their production and have
their logo put on. The concept of a "brand" is very vague these days. A Calvin Klein T-Shirt at $80 with the logo, is the exact same T-shirt made in Taiwan without the logo going for $8.
Your buying into an image. DW purchased the Gon Bop "Brand" but
it's not the old Gon Bop of the 70's. I'm not saying they're
a bad product, they're in fact good, but be aware of branding
and know that many brands today are centrally made by
only a few manufacturers. DW the maker of some of the top drumsets, has purchased & resurrected the Gon Bop name and have hired some good people to have a percussion dept.
that they never had before. They build their drums overseas with the exception of their high-end "California" series which are assembled in the USA. Meinl was the first to do this, then followed by LP.

				Dear Isaac,
I find your assertions regarding the central manufacturing of Gon Bops, LP, et.al. trully shocking. What do you plan on revealing next, that there were NO WMDs and that Bush lied to us? That there's no cat and dog heaven or a tooth fairy? Santa Claus please save us!!!!
