Did anyone catch their concert in Japan on DirecTV? What is the conga player's name? Man, that guy was good and had a great solo.

I didn´t watch the Japanese TV station you mentioned, but I own a live DVD. Some time ago Angá played congas, but I think most recently it has been the congueroe Rolando "El Nino Mentira" Salgado who is on tour with this most terrific Cuban Big Band in the world.

Hello treefrog,
I saw them in concert a couple of weeks ago in Harrogate (UK). The conguero was Adel Gonzales Gomez. He was brilliant. Very understated, having occasional little conversations with others in the band. He then got 10 minutes on stage on his own and blew us all away. He really enjoyed himself!
