I'm close to purchasing a set of Pearl Elites and am considering getting the Pearl PC900 fit all stands as well. They seem to be well constructed and affordable. Can anyone tell me if they've used these stands and if they encountered any problems? One concern that I have just from seeing pictures is that the nylon strap with the buckle appears to wrap around the entire drum about 2/3 of the way up from the bottom of the shell. The contrast of the black strap (against a lighter colored shell) seems to distract from the beauty of the shells finish. I realize this is purely a cosmetic issue but I have a thing about how my drums sound AND look when playing out. Any input would greatly appreciated.

Hello drumtramp65!
I have Pearl PC900 stands as well. I think they are a bit clumsy. If you use more than two congas you might face some problems with your setup. PC900 stands are hard to but together nice and smooth. Personally I'm not using them with congas anymore. I prefer PC900 with timbau.

I havent seen the stand, but I would be worried about the strap around the shell damping the natural resonance of the drum.
My penny's worth.

why would using them for 3 drums create more a problem than for 2? Is it because a standard tumba is too big for the stand, or is it a matter of positioning the stands close enough togther to play comfortably?

Hello again drumtramp65.
It is a matter of positioning the stands close enough togther to play comfortably. You will find it hard with those stands.
